Nya Greenstone Commits to the University of Toledo!
Nya Greenstone, an outside hitter on the 18-Onitsuka team, has committed to the University of Toledo for the fall of 2011. The University of Toledo, located in Toledo, Ohio, is a division I program that competes in the Mid American Conference. Nya, an all-conference, and all-region selection, competes for Ann Arbor Pioneer High School in the fall seasons. Nya plans to major in Business Communications.
Director's Comments: "Nya is one of the players that we considered for the most improved player award this year because she has improved so much as a player and it stands out to everyone. Nya has really embraced the things that she needs to work on to get to the next level and I feel as though she will make a really nice MAC player come 2011. Nya’s athleticism, focus, and high academics all prove that she will be going up and up in future years. I am really happy to see Nya stay close to home to play at Toledo and I can’t wait to help her develop next year at Premier in route to becoming a Rocket. I think Nya has a terrific family that understands athletics, hard work, and long term goals. All of these things are pivotal in a player’s development and I am always excited when I have a family that understands and supports the process like they do. Congrats to the Greenstone family on their scholarship to UT!"
