2022 is the 11th year of Junior Beach Volleyball training at Premier Academy. Since 2013, our Junior Beach Club has been very successful in the sand, producing 3 National Championships, 11 top 5 National Championship finishes, and 10 Beach All-Americans.
Premier Beach programs are open to players from all schools and clubs. Premier Academy is home to 2 state of the art lighted outdoor sand courts. All League matches and Premier Beach Club practices are held at Premier.

By utilizing the 2 on 2 beach volleyball training model, players can develop complete all around skills. Training with the 2 on 2 model increases 1st step speed and develops strategic thinking while training on a shock absorbing surface. Premier Beach Club training will focus on fundamentals, volleyball IQ, rules of the game, strategy, and communication skills. We will hold 14 practices, each coached by our full time staff member and former professional beach player, Angie Wannemacher.
Practice days are listed on the beach club calendar. Final practice times are announced once enrollment is finalized for each age group. Tentative practice times are:
U12-U14s | 5:00-6:45p
U15-18s | 7:00-8:45p
Attendance at practices is not mandatory, however, for players to learn all necessary skills in 14 practices, we encourage strong attendance.
In addition to practices, all Premier Beach Club athletes will compete in tournaments of their choosing. Each tournament will have a membership requirement (for example USAV or EVP membership) and those players will need to register and pay for their own memberships based on the tournaments they enter.
There will be a mandatory player & parent meeting after the first practice for 30 mins.
Beach Club players register as an individual and are paired up at practices, partners can be requested.
Players are required to purchase the following items independently if not already owned:
1) athletic sunglasses
2) a real leather Molten Beach Volleyball which must be brought to every practice (and is required to have by the first practice). We recommend one of the following:
Beach Club players pay $325 at time of registration. Beach Club players will be responsible for paying for any memberships needed to compete in events (usually these range from $15-40 for the whole season) as well as registering and paying for their own events with their partner. Beach event prices range from $30/team to $70/team per entry.
