Premier Volleyball Academy is proud to announce that our Owner and Club Director, Jodi Schramm, has been named the AVCA 18s Coach of the Year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) for the 2024–25 season.

Now in its 10th year, the AVCA Club Awards program honors the nation’s most deserving coaches and club directors who are shaping the next generation of athletes in the youth volleyball community. Each year, the AVCA recognizes outstanding leaders in all seven girls’ age divisions (12s–18s), along with the top Club Directors, Beach Coaches, and Boys Coaches across the country. Jodi will be officially recognized at the 2025 AVCA Convention in Kansas City, Missouri, this December.
This prestigious honor is a reflection of Jodi’s unwavering commitment to excellence, her leadership over nearly three decades at Premier Academy, and her dedication to helping athletes reach their highest potential both on and off the court. Under her direction, Premier has become one of the Midwest’s most respected volleyball programs—producing 360+ college athletes, over 100 All-Americans, and 18 national championship finishes while maintaining a culture grounded in hard work, integrity, and community.
Premier Academy General Manager, Chad Rutkowski, said "As a coach, mentor, and visionary leader, Jodi has helped shape not only championship teams but also countless young athletes who have gone on to become collegiate players, coaches, and leaders in their own communities. Her impact reaches far beyond the wins—it’s about the lessons, the culture, and the belief that volleyball can build confidence, character, and opportunity."
This recognition from the AVCA shines a spotlight on what we at Premier have always known: Jodi’s leadership, passion, and heart for the game set the standard for what club volleyball can and should be.
Please join us in congratulating Jodi on this incredible achievement! Her dedication continues to inspire our athletes, coaches, and families—and reinforces why Premier Volleyball Academy remains one of the nation’s elite destinations for youth volleyball development.
Congratulations, Jodi — your impact is truly beyond the net.
