Premier Academy has been developing volleyball athletes in Maumee and throughout Northwest Ohio since 1996.

Based at the Maumee Sports Mall Complex, Premier Academy operates a 44,000-square-foot indoor facility with seven suspended hardwood volleyball courts, a full-service weight training facility, athletic training space and additional resources designed to support athletes year-round.

Premier Academy is proud to be connected with Junior Volleyball Association (JVA), an organization dedicated to strengthening junior volleyball clubs and expanding opportunities for athletes, Coaches and families nationwide.

A Volleyball Pathway from the First Touch

Premier Academy offers programming designed to introduce athletes to volleyball early and provide opportunities to progress as their skills and competitive goals grow.

Its developmental pathway begins with Peanuts & Minis for young children, followed by Junior Premier, in-house leagues, club teams, private lessons and small-group training. The club also provides competitive programming for both girls and boys.

Through JVA Membership, Club Directors and Coaches can access educational resources, industry information, professional development, partner benefits and tools designed specifically for junior volleyball organizations.

These resources help clubs build sustainable development systems while supporting Coaches who work with athletes across different ages and experience levels.

Training and Competition Under One Roof

Having a dedicated volleyball facility creates opportunities for athletes to train consistently throughout the year.

Premier Academy’s seven full-sized indoor volleyball courts give the organization space for club practices, camps, clinics, lessons, leagues and competition. The facility also includes strength training and athletic training resources that can support athletes beyond traditional court practice.

JVA Tournaments provide boys, girls and beach volleyball teams with additional competition opportunities across the United States, including national tournaments, power leagues, Challenge Series events and member-hosted competitions.

Together, strong local training and access to regional and national competition give junior athletes opportunities to build skills, gain match experience and continue progressing within the sport.

Education for Coaches and Club Leaders

Athlete development is strengthened when Coaches and Club Directors have access to continuing education and volleyball-specific resources.

The JVA Education Library provides information covering coaching, player development, recruiting, mental performance, leadership, club operations, business management and more.

These resources can help Coaches refine how they teach the game while helping Club Directors manage stronger and more sustainable organizations.

JVA also recognizes athletes, clubs and volleyball leaders through the JVA Awards Program.

Recognition opportunities include JVA Watch Lists, All-National Teams, the AthLeader Award, Club of the Month and additional honors celebrating performance, leadership and achievement throughout junior volleyball.

Programs That Strengthen Junior Volleyball

JVA offers several programs designed to support clubs and the people helping volleyball grow.

The JVA Sponsor Program gives participating clubs an opportunity to increase awareness of JVA and connect more athletes, families and volleyball professionals with national resources.

The JVA Grant Program provides eligible member organizations with opportunities to receive financial support for projects and initiatives that can improve or expand junior volleyball programming.

Through the JVA Mentor Program, volleyball professionals can connect with experienced Club Directors and industry leaders for guidance, insight and practical knowledge.

Officials are also an essential part of the sport, and the JVA Official Rewards Program provides recognition and support for officials working within junior volleyball.

Insurance Designed for Volleyball Organizations

JVA members can access JVA Insurance options designed for volleyball clubs, tournaments, camps, leagues and related programming.

These resources give Club Directors access to insurance options developed around the specific needs of junior volleyball organizations.

Growing Volleyball Across Northwest Ohio

Premier Academy’s year-round model gives athletes opportunities to enter the sport young, continue developing through structured training and eventually compete at higher levels of club volleyball.

From Maumee and Toledo to volleyball communities throughout Northwest Ohio and the Midwest, Premier Academy and JVA share a commitment to creating stronger opportunities for athletes while supporting the Coaches and Club Directors who make those opportunities possible.
