Premier Academy Partners with T.E.A.M. to Expand Access to Volleyball

Maumee, OH — September 22, 2025 – At Premier Volleyball Academy, our mission has always been about more than volleyball. It’s about creating pathways for athletes of all backgrounds to grow, connect, and discover what’s possible through sport. This spring, we were proud to partner with Toledo Elementary Athletics Movement (T.E.A.M.) — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to elevating and supporting children, families, and communities across Toledo — to bring volleyball into their growing slate of affordable youth sports programs.

A New Pilot for Volleyball

In the spring of 2025, Premier Academy and T.E.A.M. piloted a brand-new program designed to introduce volleyball to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to play. For just $40 per player, each participant received:

·       Weekly practices led by a Premier Academy coach

·       A practice t-shirt and game jersey

·       The chance to compete in the Northwest Ohio League, sponsored by AllVolleyball, with matches hosted at Premier Academy and Toledo Volleyball Club.

This pilot not only provided access to the sport but also created a welcoming entry point for athletes new to volleyball, giving them the chance to learn fundamentals, build confidence, and experience the joy of being part of a team.

Looking Ahead

The early success of this partnership shows just how much demand exists for affordable, community-based volleyball in Toledo. As we continue to grow this collaboration, our goal is to expand the program to serve even more athletes across the city — making volleyball a sport that every child can access, regardless of their background.
